Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3: FFXIV Collab and New Hunts
The Monster Hunter Wilds universe has expanded even further with new monsters, mechanics, and puzzles. Capcom has introduced the much cherished Title Update 3: Monster Hunter Wilds for the scheduled crossover with FFXIV Online.’ Released for free on September 29, 2025, the content comes bundled with a new collaborative quest, a menacing mech, a seasonal event, and an assortment of quality improvements designed to enhance the hunting experience.
The other Monster Hunter and FFXIV Online crossover sparked enthusiasm in both communities. This isn’t the first tie-in Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3 collaboration with FFXIV Online, which provides players with new end-game options and additional challenges to prep.
The FFXIV Integration: A New Saga from Eorzea
The plot of Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3 now comes with a collaboration with the renowned MMORPG FFXIV Online. This isn’t a simple cross-over where you can change the skins of characters. It creates a quest, and in the world of Monster Hunter Wilds, characters from Eorzea tie in.
To unlock this special mission, talking to Rove in the Iceshard Cliffs after confirming that the prerequisites are set, ensures that the hunter advances past Hunter Rank (HR) 41 and has completed the main mission (or the title mission) ‘What Lies Ahead.’ Access to these specific quests sets aside the learning curve and cruicial hurdles that the hunter has to overcome to prepare for the battle ahead.

Engaging the Omega Planetes
This Crossover will bring in Omega Planetes as an additional monster for Monster Hunter Wilds. This mechanical giant, previously referred to as an Omega frame, has now got a new title, associated with the lands, and has descended into the Forbidden Lands. Every hunter will be glad to hear that the battle with him will be set as an extreme-difficulty challenge, and will be possibly leveled up to the Omega Planetes. Planetes will be an addition to his name. Every trick in the book will be available to complete this mission as the madness will be explained as overpowerd.
Capcom mingled mechanics from FINAL FANTASY XIV to foster new dimensions to this fight. Hunters can use actions from the Dark Knight and Pictomancer Jobs, specifically The Blackest Night and Pictomancy spells, to turn the tide in battle. In particular, players can access these new abilities in the training place, where the cooldown timers do not activate, permitting them to play around with the abilities before the actual hunt. With the Dark Knight armor, Omega Planetes can be defeated and hunted, bringing a piece of Eorzea’s aesthetic into Monster Hunter Wilds.
The most proficient hunters are able to undergo extreme-difficulty 9★ permanent quests for Omega Planetes, granted HR 100+ and the first portion of the collaboration mission, as a means to fully test their abilities.
Endgame Content and the Bestiary Expansion
Aside from the collaboration, Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 3 adds a wealth of new high-rank challenges and diverse bestiary endgame content to hunt.
New Monsters and Variants: An additional mission grants access to the Nerscylla Clone Nerscylla Clone. Alongside this, an Arch-tempered version of Nu Udra has also been added, planned to be featured in an upcoming Event Quest for hunters with an HR of 100+. Arch-tempered Nu Udra will be a brutal challenge for hunters with the right gear.
More High-Rank Threats: The addition of the Blangonga, which has 9★ tempered variants, as well as both regular and tempered versions of Lagiacrus for HR hunters above 100 in the Wounded Hollow, adds a significant portion of content for late-game players. In addition to this, the Blangonga and Nue Udra will be battle event quests for all veteran hunters, and provide them with ample challenges to overcome.
Festival of Accord: Dreamspell Event Capcom has been updating Monster Hunter Wilds with new content to continue its support.
